As an ISO 14001 accredited company we have implemented various measures to achieve this goal. One of our key initiatives is the creation of purpose-built vehicles and adapted equipment. These not only provide operational advantages, but also have positive environmental effects. For instance, our Mercedes-Benz Unimog U500. Equipped with a Euro 5 engine, powers a 10" chipper, carries 6m3 of chip, and operates the 19m mechanically elevated work platform. able to transport 3 operators and all required tools and equipment. Comparatively other companies would need at least 2 vehicles, including an HGV and a self-powered chipper, totalling at least 3 driven engines, to provide the same level of equipment. featured on fabrecator’s site here. Our U400, with its Euro 4 engine and 8" chipper, can tow various sizes of trailers, carry 6m3 of chip. It also powers our firewood processing equipment. By utilising a single power source for multiple machines, we are able to further reduce emissions. Additionally our loaders track systems minimize the impact our machines have on the ground. We have also implemented a comprehensive recycling program to recycle as much waste from our work as possible. Chip sent off for renewable energy, if of suitable quality, or used for a variety of other purposes. Timber is used for firewood if not adequate for timber production with our sawmill. We are proud of our efforts to minimize our environmental impact. we continue to improve and find new ways to be environmentally responsible.

Founded in 1993, EGD Services Ltd started as Exclusive Garden Design, a brainchild of Peter Trayhorn. Leaving his position at British Telecom, Trayhorn embarked on a mission to offer a service he had longed for but couldn't find elsewhere wile managing network build and maintenance in Southampton at B.T - the clearing of trees and vegetation that interfered with telecom infrastructure. Quickly gaining traction, EGD shifted its focus from landscaping to clearing plant for British Telecom PLC, a pivotal moment that would shape the company's trajectory.
